You Do Know How Blessed You Are?

Well Hello My Sweet Loves.  It’s been a few months since you’ve heard from me and I want to you to know I have missed sharing or “chitchatting” with you all very much.  I wanted this end of year Blog to be on a personal the upbeat and extra encouraging note, so that “We” remember “Our” Blessings.

This time of the year each of us typically reminisce about the past eleven months.  We review our accomplishments, mistakes, successes and our overwhelming losses.  Not only are we conscience of the past year with personal (family/work/issues), but we are still dealing with that “demon” Covid-19.

Regardless of how we choose to categorize each significance – they are all very important to us.  Aside from “our” particular personal issues, this has so been one of the busiest, most difficult ones my family has experienced and I guarantee one or more of us has said “why us”/”why our family”, but personally I can say relying on God’s Word has helped me maintain the focus of reminding myself of what it says in

1 Corinthians 13:10 –  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but GOD is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape that you may be able to bear it.

That is most powerful.  Our GOD will give us strength to bear our troubles and trials as long as we lean on HIM and stay in HIS Word.  I‘d like to set a little glimmer of light for perspective.  I try hard to be a firm believer and practicer (I know that is not a word – LOL) of gratitude.  Saying thank you Father is my first words to GOD each morning and at night as well because I know how Blessed I am.  I have so many things to be Thankful for – You Too!!! One is being awake today (having the ability to read My Blog :),  and having a right mind is most valuable not only that but being able to process simple things and comprehend.  There are so many people who are not here to even say just that, and also to know that My Great –great grandparents obeyed the gospel and shared it with their children, then their children’s children (My Mom) who eventually shared it with me.  I am so grateful to know the TRUTH of the WORD.  Many people in so many countries don’t have that freedom.  Having this ability to express gratitude will make you feel happier and help others know they too have that gift and ability.

It’s important for us to know that in our lives there will be challenges and with those challenges/obstacles we can learn valuable lessons and teach ourselves and others “How Blessed We Are”.  One might think that sounds ridiculous and unrealistic, but it is ever so true.  A great deal of us are without our mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, sons, brothers, sisters, daughters and cousins.  If you have those still with you enjoy them, love on them and don’t neglect to tell them you love them.  Its alright to remember our gratefulness for material things but more so our gratitude for people and to keep in mind how much more each day brings a new surprise to be grateful for. Let’s make it simple – you woke up!!!

In the meantime while you work your way there relax you can maybe use some deep in and out breathing as you think on those blessings that are close to your heart it will guide your mind to a beautiful place of peace. *It works for me*

Now please know there will be some rough seconds, minutes, hours, and even days and you might have one rough day after another.  Oh I get it!!!  I’ve had that just here recently.  So here’s what I do to help me during those struggling periods.  First, I try to stop a second and see what is good in this particular this situation.  Sometimes that’s hard at that exact moment.  So then I think of one good thing that happened to me today.  Once I find that first one it’s not such a challenge to find another one and possibly another.  Locating beautiful positive things to focus on gives you a better perspective.  When I find it extremely difficult to do that which I have on a number of occasions went to my “go to song”.  This song is such an encourager.  There’s a wonderful Brother in Christ/Friend and Lover of the Truth who teaches in song by the name of Chris Turner.  He is known in the Lord’s Body for singing this beautiful song entitled, You Don’t Know How Blessed You Are.  Take a Listen, I guarantee it will uplift your spirit and give you a beautiful reminder.

I don’t own the rights to this music…

By the end of “the day” this sweet process in (my experience), come bedtime that peace will help you doze off to a restful place.  So I share this because this holiday season is greatly upon us. I want to give a reminder for you not to forget the wonderful gifts and presents you may receive as blessings and please don’t neglect to be thankful and grateful for all the beautiful people in your life and remember –

“You Do Know How Blessed You Are”

  1. This is a beautiful blog. I know how very, very, blessed I am. But I truly appreciate the reminder. God has truly been good. Although, my family and I have experienced the tremendous loss of our Dear Mother, we believe and know all is well with her. My Mother was a firm believer in Jesus she knew that word like the back of her hand. The best gift my Mother gave us is Jesus Christ. She taught us the importance of having a personal relationship with God and knowing the word of God for ourselves. So I am truly grateful to God and all his many blessings and who he is in my life!

Many blessings to you Margie and all your endeavors!❤️

  2. Margie,
I am so grateful to God for his love and for allowing you to have this blog to spread the word of God. I had a praying grandmother and she taught me and my brothers about Jesus. I love the song by Chris Turner. May God continue to Bless you.
