Happy Love Day Loves!!!
I want to be the first to send you Love as you read The Love – Love – Love Blog. It’s Valentine’s Day!!! I got to thinking last week about how Valentine’s Day began and decided to do just a bit of research for by about Valentine’s Day so I could share with You My Loves. Well I found out somethings I didn’t know.
Valentine’s Day originated from the Roman festival of Lupercalia (mid-February) signifying that spring is in the air. That’s a beautiful thought but it also had a negative twist because it included a degrading act of pairing women off with men through a lottery. This practice ended in the 5th Century and was replaced by what we now know as Valentine’s Day or The Day of Love. Valentine’s Day or The Day of Love is the Sweetest Day and over many years of evolving it is the day that so many people in Love can show their feelings and affections through gifts and trinkets of beauty or sweets. Typically, it has been about men showering their wives, girlfriends or fiancés with roses, candy, cards engulfed with beautiful poetry, or even jewelry. And the blessed women are thoroughly happy, and show gratitude with hugs and kisses. Here lately, I have seen it shift and become more liberal in how Valentine’s Day has been viewed, and mutually beneficial to both male and female. Women buy for men and men buy for women which makes both parties smile. However, going back to my childhood I can’t remember my mum ever going out and purchasing roses, candy or jewelry for my dad. I remember he would plan for that day every year. I would see him come in the house with all the fixings to put a smile on her face. Sometimes I would see her blush like a little teenage girl. So I have always had a good example of how a man of God cherishes his wife. Not only would he do for my Mum but he would also buy treats for me as a child and later on my girls would benefit with sweet treats as well. My Daddy set the bar.
I want you to know My Loves today I am sharing some love with you on Valentine’s Day that Our Father would want you to know according to
John 3:16 For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only Begotten SON so whosoever believeth on HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.
So maybe you’re not married. Maybe you’re divorced, or widowed, or just haven’t found your Forever Love. But today, I want you to know that you are so loved and cherished by GOD. Know that your heart is due nothing but peace. And the GOD of Heaven gives such peace according to
Numbers 6:24-26 24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:25The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:26The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
So today take some time out of your blessed day and spend it in God’s Word. My prayer is that you know just how LOVED you are. Be Encouraged, Uplifted and Inspired. And at your leisure, take a little time with your beautiful self and eat some chocolate cake or candy and say Happy Love Day to yourself!
